на чистую ХP, поставил zend server CE, mysql, phpMyAdmin (следовал инструкциям http://magento-forum...1914/#entry8767)
настроил пару вирт хостов, запустил magento-check.php - Congratulations! Your server meets the requirements for Magento.
скачал установщик magento ver 1.7.0.0 - Added April 6, 2012, который показал мне валидность сервера
